There’s a version of Koh Kood that most visitors never see, the one beneath the surface of the water, tucked behind a waterfall, or waiting quietly on an island where the deer outnumber the people. At Tolani Resort Koh Kood, getting there is part of the stay. Here’s what a few days on the island can look like.
Chase the clearest water in the Gulf
Some mornings start with a boat ride and end with your face in the water. Snorkeling at Koh Rang, part of Thailand’s protected marine park, is as close as this coast gets to aquarium-clear, reef fish, hard coral, and visibility that makes you forget you’re holding your breath. Join a shared speed boat (from THB 2,000/person) or take a private boat for the day (from THB 10,000, up to 6 people), out every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Closer to shore, Koh Raet offers the same turquoise water on a smaller scale, ideal for a half-day escape, with shared tours from just THB 999/person, or a private mini speed boat for two from THB 2,500.
Go under, properly
For guests who want to stay down longer, the resort’s PADI Diving Experience turns a morning boat trip into a certification. Try diving for the first time with Discover Scuba (THB 4,500), or commit to a 4-day Open Water or Advanced Diver course (THB 15,500), instructor, full equipment, and PADI certification included.
Already certified? The PADI Scuba Diving Program takes you out to Koh Kood’s own reefs (from THB 4,000/person) or further out to Koh Rang’s marine park (from THB 7,000/person), with extra dives available at THB 2,000 each.
Meet Koh Kood’s other residents
A short private boat ride away, Koh Kadad Island is home to nearly 1,000 rare deer, a population found almost nowhere else in Thailand. Explore by safari ride and watch them roam freely between the palms (private tour, THB 10,000/boat, up to 6 people).
Cast a line as the sun goes down
Koh Kood’s waters have always fed on more than tourists, the island’s fishing tradition runs deep, and the Private Fishing by Local Boat experience lets you take part in it. Choose a relaxed morning of fishing and snorkeling aboard a traditional wooden boat (THB 1,800/person), a private mini speed boat trip (THB 3,000/boat), or head out after dark for night fishing under the stars (THB 3,500/boat).
Discover the island by land
Not every adventure needs a boat and a mask. The Private Koh Kood Discovery (Land Tour) winds through Ao Salad fishing village, past the mangroves and beach at Khlong Chao, and ends with a swim in the freshwater lagoon at Klong Chao Waterfall, most spectacular in the rainy season (from THB 1,500/boat, 3.5-hour tour).
Train like a fighter, right on the sand
As the sun drops toward the horizon, the beach becomes a ring. The Thai Boxing Experience puts you one-on-one with a local trainer for an authentic muay thai session, group classes from THB 200/person for resort guests, or book a private session on request.
End the day the way it should end
Some evenings call for nothing more than good company and a good view. The Golden Hour Private Cruise aboard Tolani Posh takes two people out onto the water at sunset, with canapés and sparkling wine, for a private, unhurried close to the day (THB 4,500++ for two).
